Construction
of the Baha'i House of Worship for North America in Wilmette, Ill. was
completed in 1953. It is one of seven Baha'i Houses of Worship in the
world. Each temple has its own distinctive design, yet conforms to a
set of architectural requirements that give a unifying theme. All must
have nine sides and a central dome.

Big houses are plentiful in this neck of the
woods.

Ella enjoyed catching up with Johnny & Matthew at Jack
& Mitch's in Glenview.

Me with Mitch, Carrie & Kristin.

Then it was back to Chicago for Diana's
tree-trimming party.

Where we chatted with Amy Dickinson, writer of
the Chicago Tribune advice column Ask Amy (which is syndicated to
newspapers around the world), and her new husband Bruno.
