Becky
& Mark's Visit, Aug 14-22
[ Back ] [ Up ] [ Next ]
Becky
and Mark left baby Isabella with grandparents and came for a fun-packed
week in Chi-Town. The temperature soared in time for their visit
- and we showed them the whole Windy City experience, from blues to
baseball.

The
lions at Lincoln
Park Zoo.

Friday
night at Whiskey Bar in the Gold Coast.

Dinner
at Naha in River North. (Coffee? That's the gout for you!)

Then
uber-trendy BUtterfield 8...

...and
the rather less salubrious Coyote Ugly.

Coffee
on Oak Street Beach before embarking on the Mag
Mile.

'Big
John' and the Water Tower.

Alfresco
cocktails at NoMI with Steffi and Jim.

Outside Mike's office
building (immediately behind the 'L' track).

Looking
along Wacker Drive towards the Wrigley Building on Michigan Ave.

A
lake
and river architecture cruise.

Sears
Tower dominating the skyline.

The
Lyric Opera House, designed like a giant armchair.

No.
33 East Wacker Drive.

Paddling in the lake at Ohio Street Beach.

Their last day, so time for some exercise on a bicycle made for two.

Stopping
for a rest at Belmont Harbour.

The
skyline becoming more distant as we head north.

Cooling
down in the lake on the hottest day of the year so far.

Champagne
at the W Hotel's Wave bar.

On
Dearborn Street bridge after dinner at Bin 36.
