Ale Party,
Apr 9-12

We
were fortunate with the weather for our weekend in Boston, and managed to do lots of
sightseeing - including trips across the river to Cambridge and
down the coast to Plymouth on Cape Cod Bay.

Old
America: Harvard Yard in Cambridge.

Trinity Church
reflected in the John Hancock Tower
in Boston's Copley Square.

Leaving
the liquor store featured in last year's Mystic River.

Tapas
at Tapeo on Newbury Street.

From our hotel room:
the world HQ of L. Ron Hubbard's Christian Scientists
(known as the 'Mother Church') with red-brick row houses in the foreground.

Brunch
in Back Bay.

Commonwealth
Avenue flanked by Back Bay mansions.

Washington
Memorial in the Boston Public Gardens.

The
skyline from Boston Commons.

The
golden-domed State House.

Lovely
residences on Beacon Hill.

Consulting
the guide book for a handy beer.

Samuel
Adams statue in front of Faneuil Hall built in 1742
(known as the 'Cradle of Liberty' during Revolutionary times).

Time
for some Sam Adams on Union Street.

Cocktails
in Whiskey Park.

The
Plymouth site of the first house in America.

The
rock is sunk into the ground beneath the monument.

I
spy some Englishmen aboard the Mayflower replica.

Looking
down towards the Atlantic Ocean.

Slight
change of scene: Mike Peters of The Alarm.

At
Boston's Hard Rock Café (more photos under Bands).

The
Charles River separates Boston from Cambridge.
