Charlie
& Jay's Visit, Jun 28-Jul 6
[ Back ] [ Up ] [ Next ]
Charlotte
and Jay came to stay with us for a very hot and humid week, just two weeks after
we'd moved into our apartment. It was their first time in the US, and they
helped us get to know our new neighbourhood.

I know we're pale - give us a chance!

A packed North
Avenue Beach.

Jay found it hard to keep his mind on the
band.

First of
the night in the English-themed Red Lion Pub.
Mark and Jay at Mathilda's.

Life
imitating art?
Waiting
for a bus to
the annual 'Taste of Chicago' in Grant Park.
Chilling
out on Independence Day, on the way to Dave & Buster's.
Jay
was
in heaven in Hooters.

Me,
Charlie and Sears Tower.

At
Monroe
Harbour.
Looking
down the Chicago River towards Streeterville.

Flying
the flag for Britain on Navy Pier.

Listening
to blues is thirsty work.

Last night out on the
town, at the John Barleycorn Memorial Pub.

Cheers, Jay!!

A
Tin Man statue can be seen at the entrance to Oz Park:
Frank Baum, the author of The Wizard of Oz, was born in the area.
