My
English Vacation, Jun 5-17
[ Back ] [ Up ] [ Next ]
I
spent most of my time in Bury St Edmunds, where I flitted between
home and Charlie's new house. Visited Becky at her new offices in London
as well as my old Cambridge colleagues - and saw Rusedski, Hewitt and Krajicek (and their lesser known opponents)
in the second round of the Stella Artois Championships.
The weather was beautiful, and we dined al
fresco most of the time.

At
Charlie and Jay's for a barbecue.

Lunch
at the Pickerel across from my
old workplace, Magdalene College.

Becky,
Mark and 9-month-old Isabella on Primrose Hill.

Defending
champion, Lleyton Hewitt, playing Raemon Sluiter
on Centre Court at Queen's. I had a front-row seat!

Becky
and colleagues grab a Pimms between matches.

The dashing
Hugo checking his Blackberry.

Hewitt being awarded Player of the Year.

Dad's
60th birthday lunch at the Spread Eagle
(where I was once a barmaid).

Then
back home for a spot of badminton.

Sisters
together for the first time in a year and a half!

Various
family
members enjoying the weather at Dad's party.

Still
nice enough for Sunday brunch on the patio the next day.
(Isabella in a new outfit made by Auntie Jill.)

Then
three
generations go for a drink
at the Dove.
