Springtime
in Old Town

Mike
and I live in the Old Town Triangle District of Lincoln Park, a landmark area featuring historic homes. These
photos were taken on a hot day in early May on Lincoln Park West
and Menonomee Street.

Row
houses designed in Queen
Anne-style by Louis Sullivan.

The
former Wacker family home and coach house.

Looking
towards the Sears Tower.

The
Meyer farmhouse built on meadowland in 1874.

Looking
down Orleans Street.

The
last houses to be built in this style before wood was banned as a
building material following the Chicago Fire of 1871.
