St Patrick's Day Parade, Mar 13
Four days before the day itself (Chicago's Irish start their celebrations early!), we headed downtown for the 48th Annual Chicago St Patrick's Day Parade.
Dyeing the river has been a Chicago tradition since 1962; the colour lasts for several hours.
At the parade on Columbus Drive.
Marching bands, dancing girls.....and silly accessories!
Time for a pint of the black stuff at a riverside pub.
